City Council Place #2

A Fresh Voice for Grapevine friends, neighbors, and fellow residents of Grapevine! My name is Jason Rash, and I'm here today because I believe our town deserves a leader who reflects its changing landscape.

For nearly 40 years, the esteemed councilwoman Sharron Rodgers has served this community. While I deeply respect her dedication, I believe a fresh perspective is needed to address the challenges and opportunities facing Grapevine in the 21st century.

I'm not new to Grapevine. For the past three years, I've called this place home, but my life experiences extend far beyond these borders. I've lived, worked, and traveled internationally, from the bustling streets of Hiroshima to the rolling hills of England, the vibrant markets of Sierra Leone, and the ancient wonders of Jordan. This global perspective allows me to see Grapevine with fresh eyes, recognizing its unique strengths and potential areas for growth.

We all know Grapevine thrives on tourism, but how can we ensure it benefits everyone, not just a select few? We need to attract a responsible kind of tourism that respects our local character and supports our small businesses. This means investing in infrastructure, green spaces, and community events that enhance the experience for both visitors and residents.

As an avid cyclist, runner, and outdoor enthusiast, I understand the importance of maintaining our beautiful parks and creating safe walking and biking paths. This not only improves public health but also strengthens our connection to nature, a vital part of Grapevine's charm.

With respect, we need leadership that embraces new ideas and innovative solutions. I won't be afraid to ask tough questions and push for creative approaches to issues like property taxes, infrastructure development, and maintaining Grapevine’s unique small-town feel.

Grapevine’s future hinges on our ability to adapt and thrive. I believe I can be the leader who helps us achieve that. On Election Day, vote for a future that reflects the best of Grapevine’s traditions and embraces the possibilities ahead. Vote for Jason Rash!
